Research for Charlotte Salomon Paints Her Life: A Novel included a full reading of many of these sources and a reading of only the relevant parts of others. I’m indebted to the work of these authors who provided the opportunity for me to educate myself so that I was equipped to write this story. The websites I used were far too numerous to include here and I’m reluctant to name any lest I leave out an important one.
